PHYSICAL BOUNDARIES BETWEEN STATES
Physical boundaries are boundaries that separate continents, countries, States, islands, and any type of political land form boundaries. The different types of boundaries consist of geographical features such as deserts, forests, and mostly mountains, and rivers. These features divide political locations. They form different types of looking countries. Also not only geography but also culture, ethnicity, race, and location are the reason for straight lines for borders of states. Such as Nigeria from Africa. Bordered from the ocean and various natural land forms.
These separations of States form different types of categories of similar looking States or land. The five categories are perforated, compacted, elongated, prorupted, and fragmented. Fragmented is when the state is separated by islands and is fragmented across the water. Compacted is when the state is small and together as in not elongated or fragmented. Elongated is when the countries has a vast, much longer length then width. Perforated is when a country has a smaller country inside of it. This could cause much conflict. Prorupted is when a state has a prorupted piece of land land spreading out of the main land like Thailand.
